presscorepo.net is a long-term, non-commercial photographic project. We document the routines, public spaces and small moments that make up daily life in Canadian cities.
Why we started
presscorepo.net began as a personal habit of carrying a camera on ordinary walks through downtown streets, transit platforms and neighbourhood markets. Over time, those photographs grew into a structured archive covering cities across Canada.
Rather than chasing news events or staged scenes, this project focuses on the everyday: a commute, a corner store, a snow-covered sidewalk, a park bench. We believe these unremarkable moments are the ones that most accurately describe how a city actually lives.
Every photograph in the archive is taken in public space, catalogued by city, neighbourhood and recurring theme, and preserved for long-term reference and study.
Editorial approach
All photography is candid documentary work made in public spaces. The archive is maintained independently and is not affiliated with any city, business or media organization.
Our approach to documentation
- Candid, not staged. Subjects are photographed as they go about ordinary activity in public spaces.
- Organized by place and theme. Every image is catalogued by city, neighbourhood and recurring subject.
- Non-commercial by design. The archive exists purely as an informational and cultural record.
